Deadly DUI Crash Sends Man to Prison for 30 Years

In recent news, a man charged with killing two people and injuring five others has been sentenced to more than 30 years in prison due to a deadly DUI crash that happened two years ago. The 29 year old, was driving a Cadillac Escalade, when he collided with a Chevrolet Impala at Indian School Road and Grand Avenue on September 5, 2009. The crash occurred after he turned left against a red arrow. According to police, two of the six people died and four others were injured. Investigators found that the driver had a BAC of .138, just two hours and 45 minutes after the collision. He was convicted by a jury last April 27, 2011 and sentenced to 30.75 years in prison on September 9, 2011.
