There were a number of drunk driving accidents in Arizona this week. In Surprise, a man suspected of driving under influence hit a tree with his car while having his son on board the vehicle (AZ Central 07/19/2011).

Police say the 21-year-old driver was travelling at high speed and lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a tree near Northwest Ranch Parkway and Carmen Drive in Surprise. According to reports both the driver and the passenger did not need any medical attention and no other vehicles were involved in the crash.

Blood alcohol content tests showed the driver having 0.15 which is far above the legal limit and had slurred and mumbled speech.

He will be facing aggravated DUI, with a passenger under the age of 15 in the vehicle.

Alcohol is notoriously known to cause car accidents. When taken at certain amounts, a few of its effects include problems with muscle coordination, blurry vision, and delayed reaction - all of which are very essential in driving.

For the safety of everyone, we strongly advise our readers to completely avoid alcohol when driving.
